Toby Gastaldi-Davies is a London based photographer and filmmaker working at the intersection of sport, lifestyle, athletes and brand storytelling. His work is driven by a constant pursuit of originality, always seeking unique perspectives and avoiding empty visuals that lack meaning or intent. By looking beyond the obvious moments, he focuses on creating imagery and video that feel intentional, distinctive and real.
His journey began through sport. After playing basketball for 12 years, stepping away from the game left a creative gap that photography and video unexpectedly filled. Alongside running a vintage t-shirt company, he picked up a camera out of curiosity, initially to explore visuals and ideas, but quickly becoming a new outlet that felt familiar. Sport had always shaped how he saw the world and photography and video became another way to stay connected to it.
What continues to drive Toby’s work is the challenge of telling stories in a way that feels different. Drawn to environments shaped by pressure and performance, he focuses on emotion, detail and moments that often go unnoticed, using unique perspectives and thoughtful composition to create visuals that stand apart.
Whether working with athletes, teams or brands, his aim is always the same: to deliver authentic, distinctive visuals rooted in real experience.
